What to ask a tarot reader so the session is worth it
Most disappointing readings are not badly read. They are badly asked. The shape of the question decides most of what you get back.

Questions that include you
«What am I sustaining here?» returns far more than «Will this work out?». The second asks for a forecast; the first asks for a view.
Another that works: «What have I been avoiding deciding, and why?». It often opens the whole session on its own.
Questions that waste the time
Anything asking for an exact date, and anything asking what an absent person is thinking. Not as an arbitrary rule, but because there is no honest way to answer them.
Also: questions you have already answered, brought along hoping someone will confirm the decision. If that is what you want, save the money.
Arriving with no question
Perfectly normal and not a problem. Describe the situation and the question gets built in the first few minutes; shaping it is part of the work.
A badly phrased question is a fine starting point. A vague one about nothing in particular is harder.
During the reading
Ask about the reasoning, not the card. «What is The Tower?» gets a definition. «Why does that card outweigh the other two?» gets the actual reading.
The second question is also the one that reveals whether the reader has a method or is improvising.

A little more clarity.
Can I ask about someone else?
You can bring the situation, but the reading looks at your position in it, not at the thoughts of someone who is not on the call.
How many questions fit in a session?
One topic properly looked at beats three skimmed. 45 minutos is enough for one thing done well.
Should I take notes?
Listening and asking for a summary at the end usually works better than writing during the call.
